Convert Documents to Markdown with AI
DocMD is built to convert various file types (PDF, DOCX, PPTX, XLSX, images, HTML) into Markdown by using Docling. The app features a selectable Markdown preview panel, options to copy or save the output, and an optional Ollama cleanup step to post-process Markdown for formatting issues. It allows user to save the AI-enhanced version or the original text version as the output. Settings allow for configuring the Docling executable path, enabling/disabling Ollama, selecting a model, and adjusting the temperature. All processing runs locally, ensuring your documents never leave your machine. The app also includes features like a collapsible files queue, a rendered/editable preview toggle, progress bars, and an automatic output folder for finished .md files.
