About Estremi Rimedi
From the Italian proverb a mali estremi, estremi rimedi, "desperate times call for desperate measures" — is a digital-wellbeing app for people gentle nudges have failed: ADHD brains and chronic doomscrollers. Open a blocked app and instead of a polite reminder you get a full-screen fire alarm — flashing red, blaring klaxon — that only stops when you escape to something you'd rather be making, or stand in the noise for ten full seconds and say out loud: "I choose Instagram over my music." Every app gets its own rules — strict ones re-alarm every five minutes, lenient ones once per visit — and a weekly receipt shows what you traded your scrolling for. Everything runs on-device, with no accounts and no analytics: just an alarm between you and the feed.
