Forecast is a local-first macOS app that keeps your startup's financial model honest by reconciling it against actuals every month. Most forecasts die in a spreadsheet: you build v1 for a fundraise, reality diverges, and six months later nobody trusts the numbers. Forecast treats your model like code. Build a driver-based base model (v1). Each month, import actuals from QuickBooks or Xero; closed periods lock; the future re-forecasts; and you get a corrected revision (v1.1, v1.2). Pivot the strategy? Fork a v2 and compare it against the old plan. Your runway number reflects what actually happened, not what you hoped in January. You get the full stack: P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow, runway, and budget-vs-actual variance. An AI assistant (bring your own key) interviews you to build assumptions. Everything lives in local SQLite on your Mac. Your financials never touch a server (not even ours).
