Gaze
Rest your eyes every 20 minutes
Gaze is a macOS eye strain reminder built on Glaze. It runs quietly in the background and prompts you to look away from your screen at regular intervals, following the 20-20-20 rule or a custom schedule you set yourself. The main window shows a live countdown to your next break with a circular progress ring. When the break starts, it switches to a full look-away screen for a configurable duration. You can pause the timer, resume it, or trigger a break immediately at any time. It also tracks how many breaks you've taken versus skipped, and lets you reset those counters from the Settings panel. Settings let you adjust two things: the interval between breaks (5 to 60 minutes, in 5-minute steps) and the break duration (10 to 60 seconds, in 5-second steps).
