Scratch&&Sniff is a web-research tool built for designers, developers, and UX researchers who need to quickly capture, organize, and document existing websites without manually screenshotting each page or copying each line of text. It’s organized on a Kanban board for managing jobs across the 4 steps: 1. Scout - It crawls the domain and classifies links. 2. Review - Browse the results and decide which pages to keep or which you want to crawl more. 3. Collect - Capture fullpage screenshots and page content as markdown. 4. Export - Save all files and reports locally for use with Figma, Sheets, powerpoint, etc. Some key features include: - Uses your actual installed Chrome (not a bundled browser) for accurate, real-world rendering - Automatic cookie-consent handling so banners don't clutter every screenshot - Handles lazy-loading, animations, and sticky headers - Visual site-map generation (tree and force-directed graph views) - Re-run Scout or Collect with full versioning of prior results for comparison - Jobs persist across sessions, so long-running research projects can be picked up later —— Would love to get feedback, just remember to include as much detail as possible.
