About Verdigris

Verdigris turns a day at your Mac into a painting. While you work, it listens to the rhythm of your activity: cursor sweeps, click sparks, the stipple of typing, the slow wash of scrolling. Each mark lands on a hidden canvas, colored by whichever app/domain is in front. Xcode days lean one way, Figma days another. At midnight the painting is finished and filed away, and tomorrow starts blank. It doubles as a time tracker. You can see how long you were actually working, your longest unbroken stretch, how often you jumped between apps, and where the hours went, app by app and site by site. Those numbers live on your Mac and nowhere else. Features: - Live canvas: watch today's painting grow in real time as you work - Daily gallery: each day becomes one finished artwork, rendered in high resolution at midnight and kept forever - Time tracking: active time, longest focus stretch, app switches, and where the hours went by app and site - Three art styles: Liquid Metal (dark chrome), Flow Silk (glowing threads), and Liquid Glass (pooled droplets), with more on the way - Wallpaper: set any painting as your desktop, or let it refresh automatically each day - Focus radio: a small built-in player with a few lofi and ambient stations - Private by design: no permissions to grant, no account, and none of your data ever leaves your Mac On how the tracking works: nothing is recorded except timing. Verdigris never sees which keys you press, what you read, or what's on screen. Just when you were active and which app was in front, plus the site's domain if you opt in.
