Schedule 1
Judging criteria
S1.1 Assessment basis
Each entry is scored by the judging panel against the criteria below. Scores are awarded on the judges' assessment of the skill, judgment and knowledge demonstrated by the entry.
Core judging criteria
Design & Aesthetics: A thoughtful, cohesive interface that feels polished in every detail and makes the app a pleasure to use.
App Utility: A focused app that solves a real problem, works reliably, and gives people a compelling reason to return.
Creativity: An original idea or unexpected approach that explores what personal desktop software can become.
Branding & Presentation: Overall branding in the Glaze Store, including the quality of your app icon, screenshots, and app presentation.
Community Traction: The genuine enthusiasm your app earns from the community, including upvotes within the Glaze store.
Each judge scores independently against the criteria and the panel then reviews the leading entries collectively.
S1.2 Tie-break
Where entries are tied, the tie is resolved by the judges' assessment of which tied entry best demonstrates originality and execution. The tie-break is decided by skill and judgment only. No random or chance mechanism is used at any stage.
