About Engram
Making the cards is the reason most people quit flashcards. Engram makes them for you. Type a topic — "the Krebs cycle," "Norse mythology," "how tariffs work" — and Engram researches it across the web and writes you a short course, citing its sources. Drop in a PDF or paste a link and it teaches what that document actually says, avoiding model hallucination. Then it teaches before it tests. Each course is a handful of short lessons; finish one and its questions become your flashcards. Every card you review is something you've actually read. - Courses from anything — a topic, a PDF, or a link, researched from real sources with citations - Lessons before cards — no card arrives that isn't tied directly to a lesson - Spaced repetition — rate a card Again, Hard, Good, or Easy, and it comes back right before you'd forget it - Points, levels, and a daily streak keep you motivated to open the app again tomorrow - Local by default — your courses, cards, and review history are files on your machine, no account, no lock-in Requires an Anthropic API key (console.anthropic.com). Your key is encrypted on your machine and never leaves it.
