About Onionskin

Onionskin — A notebook that behaves like a notebook. Most note apps give you an infinite, scrolling void. Onionskin gives you a notebook — pages that are a fixed size, numbered in order, and finite, just like paper. Pick your paper: yellow legal pad, white lined, grid, or dotted. Choose your ink from seven colors, and give each page its own handwriting style — five fonts, from a casual scrawl to a tidy print to a typed look. When a page fills up, you turn it: legal pads flip up like lifting a real sheet, other papers turn like an open book with a spine shadow and a peek of the next page. Write the way you actually would on paper. Double-click any line to cross it out. Start a line with "[] " to turn it into a checklist item you can tap off. Scribble a margin note when a page is full. And when you need to find something, don't scroll — riffle through the pages like a flipbook and land exactly where you want. Keep as many notebooks as you like, each with its own paper and personality, organized in a simple sidebar. - Fixed-size, numbered pages — no infinite scroll - 4 paper styles: yellow legal, white lined, grid, dotted - 7 ink colors, 5 handwriting styles per page - Realistic page-turn animations - Double-click to cross out; type "[] " for checklists - Margin notes on full pages - The riffle: scrub through pages like a flipbook to jump anywhere - Unlimited notebooks in a sidebar
